Trustees

Governance of the society shall be conducted by a Board of seven (7) Trustees, three (3) of which not holding officer roles shall hold office for three years, and at succeeding annual meeting, The Trustees shall have the power to fill any vacancies which may occur in their number. No trustee shall be eligible to serve more than three consecutive terms. The President and Officers shall be ex-officio members of the Board with a vote.

Standing Committees

There shall be a NOMINATING COMMITTEE comprised of the two senior trustees and one member at large, appointed by the president. The committee will recommend candidates for election as Officers and Trustees at the annual meeting of the Society.

The MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE shall include the Secretary, Vice-President, and one member of the Board, as appointed by the president. The board will review all applications for membership and submit list(s) to the President for Board approval.

The ANNIVERSARY COMMITTEE of three members appointed by the President shall be responsible for all arrangements pertaining to the celebration of the anniversary of the birth of Robert Burns, including the obtaining of a qualified speaker for the event. Their recommendation being subject to the approval of the President and Trustees.

The ANNUAL EVENTS COMMITTEE shall be appointed by the President and comprise (3) members, to insure successfully executed annual events, as determined by the Constitution and the Board of Trustees.
